Welcome to the School of Business at the Canadian University of Bangladesh.
Business education today demands more than technical knowledge; it requires intellectual rigor, ethical leadership, global awareness, and the ability to translate ideas into meaningful action. At the School of Business, we are committed to developing principled leaders and innovative thinkers who can navigate complex socio-economic realities and contribute to sustainable development in Bangladesh and beyond. Guided by the university’s motto, “Inspiring Applied Knowledge,” we strive to bridge the gap between theory and practice and transform knowledge into real-world impact.
Our academic programs are designed around international standards and contemporary business needs. We emphasize analytical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, entrepreneurship, digital competence, and responsible leadership. Through case-based teaching, industry engagement, research initiatives, internships, and collaborative learning, students gain the applied knowledge and professional confidence necessary to succeed in a competitive global environment.
The School of Business fosters a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and professional development. Our faculty members are scholars, practitioners, and mentors who encourage intellectual curiosity, critical inquiry, and ethical responsibility. We aim to create a learning environment where students are challenged to think independently, act responsibly, and lead with integrity.
We also recognize the importance of global engagement and local relevance. Bangladesh is emerging as a dynamic economic hub, and our School seeks to contribute to this transformation by producing graduates who understand markets, institutions, governance, and sustainable business practices. By strengthening partnerships with industry, international universities, and policy institutions, we aim to position CUB as a center of applied business education and innovation in the region.
As Dean, I invite students, faculty, alumni, and partners to join us in building a vibrant academic community dedicated to knowledge, leadership, and societal progress. Together, we will continue to advance excellence in business education and uphold our shared commitment to inspiring applied knowledge for a changing world.

Prof. Dr. Zahurul Alam
Dean, School of Business, Canadian University of Bangladesh

In the dynamic and frantic world of business, where every day poses new challenges and opportunities, CUB is equipped with the talent and finesse to pose a solid solution to these turbulent issues. The combined creative mindset of the faculties in School of Business excels when it comes to academics to real life implementation of the concepts that are taught in textbooks. We here in School of Business understand that the world of business is an amalgamation of both soft and hard skills, and as such, we encourage the students to think originally, that makes them intrigued about the issues and makes them think originally. We want to influence the students in their own original thinking.

Our Curriculum ensures a solid core foundation to most problems regarding business. The existing roster of the faculties in School of Business are second to none. We have faculties who have backgrounds from Dhaka University, IBA to North American degrees. All the faculties are exposed to business industry backgrounds, and as such the School of Business can influence students and give the original examples from such industries itself.

Moreover, since we at the School of Business believe that knowledge shouldn’t just be confined within textbooks, we are thrilled to announce that we take part in business carnivals, meetings with different CEOs, seminars, and give students a wonderful opportunity to work with the industry. Our Alumni are very strong and are working with most reputed industries in Bangladesh. We are committed to unlocking each student’s potential, guiding them toward new heights in their professional journeys.
